Tim Hortons may be best known for its coffee and donuts, but now the chain is looking to up its afternoon and evening sales with the launch of new flatbread pizzas.
Tim Hortons locations recently began testing new flatbread pizzas at locations in Toronto. The new product is part of an effort to boost lunch and dinner sales, which is currently a growing category in Canada. As Jose Cil, the Chief Executive Officer of Tim Hortons’ parent company Restaurant Brands International recently explained during a conference call, "We’re seeing growth in PM food and growth in lunch daypart on the food side... We have aspirations internally in terms of where we want to get to."
Based on the success of the new flatbreads, a major menu shift could be in store for Tim Hortons in the near future.
