Kofta's Backpack is Fashionable, Functional and Wearable Artwork

The natural backpack designs by Kostiantyn Rybak, the human behind Kofta, are almost too beautiful to be worn in public. The wearable sculptures embrace the majesty of lush rainforests by intricately mimicking shapes, forms and living things found in the environment. Dubbed 'Imiago,' each bag in the collection is entirely hand-made out of 100% vegetable-tanned lamb leather.
The Kiev-based designer experimented throughout the natural backpack collection with elongated or circular organic shapes, while matching the body with a sizeable botanic feature.
The photoshoot exhibiting the Imago natural backpack collection strengthens the relationship between humans and the rainforest by stripping the model of her clothes and situating her in a representational context where it's just her, the environment and the exquisitely crafted sculptural artwork.
