Several artists have re-imagined comic book characters as fashion models, but few are able to render female X-Men into hipsters as well as Nate Bellegarde. Seen here are Jubilee, Storm, Emma Frost, Jean Grey, Kitty Pride, Rogue and more in stylish duds you’d expect to see on girls working at fashion retailers. Bellegarde titles the series ‘Hipster Trash.’ I’m not too sure of its significance in relation to why he picked popular comic book characters as the subjects for his fashion drawings, but these illustrations are so cool that it doesn’t have to make sense.
Nate Bellegarde himself is a comic book artist and creator. He regularly updates his personal blog with random sketches from superheroes in comical scenarios to Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation.
