Designed by T-Square Design Associates, the Nanatsukahara Butter Cake packaging is picture perfect.
The packaging relies on the lid to keep it all together. The simple folds of the bottom piece keep the bottom intact from falling apart without glue, thanks to the aide of the lid. Then, once lifted, the packaging seemingly falls apart, revealing the Nanatsukahara Butter Cake and a beautiful landscape photo.
The design is done in a dark chocolate brown and golden yellow color scheme that picks up on the colors of the delicious pastry inside. With a simple logo, the Nanatsukahara Butter Cake packaging is simple yet elegant.
The reason behind the photo and simplicity of the design? T-Square Design Associates stated that, "This cake uses special butter from Nanatsukahara farm, Hiroshima Prefecture. We wanted to use the package as a vehicle to communicate where the cake was made and coming from, enjoying the scenery of the farm and of course, the butter cake too.”
