This Muppets Most Wanted Trailer Mocks Melodrama with Twitter

The recent Muppets Most Wanted Trailer pokes gentle fun at the world of Twitter. The short TV spot plays on the melodramatic quoting of glowing reviews often done in movie trailers, replacing the reviews with silly tweets like 'I'll prolly go see this. It Looks kewl' and 'If you don't like da Muppets, Then you're totes lame'.

These silly, humorous, and often inane quotes make for an excellent jab at the seriousness of traditional movie trailers, especially in December and January as films try and garner more and more praise for the Oscar Awards. The resulting Muppets Most Wanted TV spot is hilarious in its mock sincerity as it contrasts the epic sounding voice overs with completely silly imagery like Zack Galifianakis making out with a muppet and Kermit dancing on Ricky Gervais' head.
