The MTV Balloons commercial uses stop motion in a creative way that turned out absolutely awesome. Pictures were drawn on balloons and a machine was used to pop them all, creating a clever cartoon animation. The commercial was created as part of the Music Never Stops campaign and was directed by Dulcidio Caldeira. Caldeira took a lot of time with the project; it took almost 24 hours of straight filming to complete. The 600 balloons were attached to a 200-meter rail that was lined up with a laser guide. Ten balloons were popped per second in this epic MTV spot.
