London-based studio WAX Atelier works in collaboration with Hanoi-based KILOMET 109 to present the Mother Goddess of the Three Realms: Cross Encounters, Joining Threads exhibition. It is unveiled as a part of London Design Week and Vietnam Design Week simultaneously. The entire exhibition is curated by Company,Place's Vickie Haywood. The visuals honor both the UK and Vietnam and its shared design heritage.
The same team joins forces on Mother Goddess Top, which is made from a blend of hemp, linen, silk, wild yam root, and nettle, which are all held together. The curators explain that it is “a collection of individuals and organizations who are contributing to the preservation and proliferation of ancient material knowledge for one of humankind’s greatest technological inventions.”
