3.1 Phillip Lim presents the new Crafting Selfhood exhibition taking place in its New York City flagship store. It is co-curated by Karen Wong and Lora Appleton. The exhibition highlights the works of 13 Asian American female-identifying artists to celebrate May's AAPI Heritage Month.
It honors the works of the design community in the cultural space and features designs by "Janny Baek, Julia Chiang, Cecile Chong, Phaan Howng, Lena Imamura, Sonya Yong James, Myung Jin Kim, Antonia Kuo, Eunji Jun and Halin Lee, Eny Lee Parker, Linda Sormin, and Steffany Trần." The overarching theme of Crafting Selfgood is to unify the various heritage and identities in the space with a spotlight on the shared anecdotes on how form, medium, and technique are applied to the process.
