Telecommunications and Internet service provider Three created a modern tapestry that captures top moments experienced by people during the COVID-19 lockdown. The tapestry named How We Scrolled: Lockdown 2020 features illustrations by London artist Emmy Lupin and Three describes the creation as a "modern-day tapestry."
What shows up on the work of art was determined by social media mentions from March to July, including some of the most talked-about people, moments and memes. Naturally, this includes TikTok dances, Joe Exotic, the Black Lives Matter movement and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which launched during this time.
The 25-meter art installation is currently set up at London's Mudchute farm for a limited time, although a digital version of the piece has also been made available to view via Three's social-media channels.
