Take a tour inside Trend Hunter's modern new office design. We've been calling our new Toronto location home for a month... and now, and it's time to share it with the world!
The office is a brick and beam style loft in an old carriage factory. You'll note there are plenty of red accents, and features like a digitally projected scoreboard that help us keep in touch with what our viewers are loving, who's online, and more.
We've put a lot of effort into making our new space awesome. Below are some of the features that make the new space exciting:
Digitally Projected Scoreboard - at any time, our writers can see what articles are trending, top story ideas and the daily traffic stats
Programmer Lounge - our programmer lounge (office?) features a beer fridge, fireplace, and of course, wall decals of Atari Asteroid.
1950s Retro Fridge - Big thanks to our friends at Elmira Stoveworks for hooking us up with a sweet red retro fridge, reminiscent of a 1950s Corvette.
Gallery Wall With Logo - One of our walls features a gallery of hot trends, and a really cool plastic sign of our logo. The sign was created by Kick Ass Media.
Media Wall - Just like you'd see at a red carpet, we've got our own media wall, also from Kick Ass Media, with the logos of Trend Hunter TV, TrendReports.com, Trend Hunter PRO and TrendHunter.com.
Beer Bottle Collection - Every Friday, we have our office meeting / beer party, and we've been successful at featuring one new beer each week. We save one of those bottles, and now we have a collection of our favorite and LEAST favorite beers (Pumpkin Beer, I am looking at you.)
The TEAM - The key ingredient that makes the office so much fun is not the projected wall, retro fridge or fireplace. It's the team! And if you are wanting to join:
WE ARE HIRING. Specifically, we are looking for Toronto-based programmers (front end and back), AND journalist interns who want to be part of the Trend Hunter Academy.
