This Modern Forest Cottage is Completely Connected to Nature
Farida Helmy — April 30, 2014 — Art & Design
If the idea of living in an enchanted forest appeals to you, then this 'reality' version of that exists in the form of this modern forest cottage.
Making sure to keep the feeling of whimsical and dreamy nature very much alive in its design, this magical haven may have been designed using contemporary tools and textures, and even boasts functional urban features, but at heart you can feel the surreal vibe and fairy-filled atmosphere.
The 4,600 square feet nest is located in West Vancover, Canada and is designed by Splyce Design. Both sides of the house are special; one looks over a lush hill while the other opens to the ocean. With floor-to-ceiling glass panels instead of regular walls, this modern forest cottage is surrounded by Cedar trees and and Douglas fir.
