If you are an artist or creative type just starting out and can't afford your own studio space yet, you could totally benefit from a mobile workspace like this one. The Studio in the Park is a collaborative project between Queens Museum, NYC Parks and ArtBuilt.
Based in New York City, the Queens Museum-ArtBuilt Mobile Studio Residency Program is both promotional and activist-oriented. The mobile workspace houses two artists from June to August 2015 -- or one a month. The 150 square foot trailer is anchored in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
The endeavor is beneficial to budding artists because it is more affordable compared to other studio space in the city and its mobility allows for inspiration on the go. The project also enables the artists to engage with the local community as they visit the park.
