A creative pop-up hub in Melbourne for artists and designers has been facilitated by the Australian studio Sibling Architecture. The hub contains a variety of spaces that can be utilized by individuals. The firm relied on repurposed materials and mobile furniture to bring the space to life and make it usable in a sustainable and affordable way. Spreading across seven stories, the creative pop-up hub occupies the Hanover House which is soon to be demolished to make way for a building that is planned to become the country's tallest building, measuring 356 meters.
While the development is planned to take place in two years, Beulah (the developer) initiated the program BETA by STH BNK which enabled the creation of this creative pop-up hub. This project certainly carries implications for how urban developers may support emerging creative talent in the city.
