Miami Heat is the First NBA Team to Offer Mobile-Only Entry

Miami Heat recently announced that fans who attend home games during the upcoming basketball season will be able to take advantage of Mobile-Only Entry. As such, Miami Heat is the first NBA team to allow fans through gates with only a ticket via a phone.

While other teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers accept mobile tickets, they also permit entry with a valid driver's license and credit card.

For the upcoming season, fans who arrive at Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena will receive a mobile ticket, even when visiting the box office. This new system has been implemented due to the fact that one in three fans enter the gates with mobile tickets, plus it will help with fraud and collecting information about fans in specific seats.
