The MikMak app is a millennial-targeted application that allows users to shop for various products with the help of in-app infomercials.
Developed by Rachel Tipograph, the MikMak app presents a list of goods from beauty products to home decor. When users come upon a product they like, they are presented with an informational video very much like the infomercials on television. Each product comes with several informational videos ranging from serious and strictly informative to comical and extremely enthusiastic. The need for various video options is to inform the developers of which videos receive the best user retention.
Still in its beta stage, the MikMak app is set to officially launch in June and will be available for download in the iTunes store.
