Mazda Electric Vehicles are Hoping to Reduce Emissions

A Mazda electric vehicle was announced recently, the announcement came in an interview done by Automotive News Europe with the company's CEO Akira Marumoto. The CEO stated that Mazda will start working on an electric car that will be released in 2020. The company notes that the vehicle will be its own and not a result of its relationship with Toyota. Also announced was Hybrid cars which will be coming later, with 2021 or 2022 set as the release date.
The Mazda electric vehicle may be resulting from legislative changes within the European Union. The European Union is making changes to reduce C02 production, making lower emission cars will help Mazda follow these new changes.
