Malin Bergman, a photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden, shoots surreal self-portraits that are much more simple than they first appear. Unlike Kyle Thompson and Alex Stoddard, both of whom fabricate elaborately imaginative self-portraits, Malin Bergman focuses on what she can do in the moment. That involved confusing the concept of back to front in a way that likens her to Cousin It from 'The Addams Family.'
Essentially, Malin Bergman makes it appear as though her head has been twisted around as though she were an owl. Malin Bergman states, "I get very inspired by the surrealism in my pictures, but I try to make that influence just slightly noticeable. I hope that my photos affect the viewer in a way that makes him/her stop and view the picture one more time and let their own fantasies decide what the photo really shows."
