Couture fashion queen Iris Van Herpen teamed up with Magnum ice cream to create the Magnum Vegan Dress inspired by Magnum vegan ice cream—and this world-first haute couture vegan dress is the first of its kind made from cocoa beans. During Paris Fashion Week, Cindy Bruna debuted the Magnum Vegan Dress on the runway for Iris Van Herpen's 15th Anniversary show.
The innovative dress was brought to live with an intricate 3D design that plays with sustainable materials that reference the brand's ingredients, as well as the visual qualities of luxe, fluid, melting chocolate. SLS technology (Selective Laser Sintering) and 3D printing technology, combined with a fully organic biopolymer material, turned cocoa bean husks into a striking garment.
This dress debuted as part of the Iris Van Herpen AW22 Collection titled Meta Morphism.
