Keith McCurdy Presents the Magic Ink Tattoo Innovation

Keith McCurdy, also known as 'Bang Bang' is a tattoo artist and mind behind the Magic Ink tattoo. This is a unique innovation in the industry that can turn tattoos 'on and off.' It is a rewritable ink that can disappear and reappear under UV lighting. To create this, he works together with scientist Carson Bruns to develop a safe ink that reacts to sunlight with an overarching goal of creating something that can be used to prevent skin cancer.
McCurdy explains the Magic Ink tattoo design, stating "Imagine we tattooed a solid circle on your wrist, a solid dot of Magic Ink. Inside of that dot, you can choose which particles are activated. You could do that with a stencil — like a sticker with a cutout — or you can draw on your own skin with a device we've made called the Magic Pen, which is a stylus for your skin."
