Made in Romans, a shop that produces quality leather shoes and accessories, is one of Groupe Archer’s efforts to keep manufacturing jobs within the country. Many larger companies tend to outsource their production department to other countries in hopes of cutting down labour costs. Although this method does decrease the cost of producing said items, it also takes away various job opportunities for unemployed individuals within the country.
Groupe Archer’s Made in Romans focuses on manufacturing leather goods within France to provide jobs for those in need. Along with manufacturing shoes for other French brands, Made in Romans, which established its own successful ethically manufactured brand in 2005, sells thousands of its locally made shoes a year.
