This colorful photography series by Luis Hernan turns WiFi signals into beautiful rainbow streamers. The project Spiritual Photographs -- Wireless Spectre makes use of long exposure photographic techniques to make the signals visible in this way. The Newcastle university student is incorporating these prototypes within a larger project called Digital Ethereal.
Luis Hernan used a Kirlian Device, which turns the invisible wireless signal strength into colors. For example, blue represents the strongest signal strength where as red signifies the weakest signal strength. The illuminated WiFi takes the form of multi-hued light trails. The pictures show these trails in a variety of locations and lighting, from indoor staircases to outdoor entrance ways and down a range of corridors.
