Word around town is that luxurious leather company Louis Vuitton is in the process of developing its very own luggage-tracking device. In an attempt to propel technological innovation within the world of luxury handbags, Louis Vuitton is aiming to gift frequent travelers peace of mind.
According to leaked FCC documents, the luggage-tracking device is named 'Louis Vuitton Echo' and French start-up Axible has been commissioned to build it. The device is chargeable through a simple USB cable and can last up to six months per battery cycle. Consumers are able to track the location of their luggage through the LV Pass smartphone app, while the Echo is placed in a dedicated pocket in the luxury brand's luggage. When on the plane, the device automatically switches to Airplane Mode and after landing, the fashion-minded traveler can check for the location of their bag.
