Artist Morag Myerscough has created the captivating Love and Unity art installation which is a tall neon sculpture standing at 11.5 meters. It is designed for a church in Doncaster, UK and it is inspired by the "culture of embroidery and tapestry in religious buildings." The sculpture is crafted from wood which has been painted in neon hues and notably, this is the first time that the artist has mixed her own bright hues.
Myerscough told Dezeen, "Often I incorporate fluorescent neon paint within my work so the piece transitions from day to night. As this was a light piece it was a perfect piece to paint the whole of it out of neon water-based paint. This was the first time I mixed my own fluorescent colours, which worked really well. The piece was then lit by black light onto the work so no lights were required on the structure."
