In collaboration with the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, sister-run textile studio Block Shop launched an adorable loungewear collection. Dubbed 'Ode to the Art of Lounging,' the collection was inspired by contemporary art itself. For example, the Tent Scarf is a silk-cotton blend that boasts a mute yellow color and a striped design. The product was informed by 'The Wedding'—a minimalist abstract piece by Canadian painter Agnes Martin from 1958.
The remaining pieces of the loungewear collection include a 'Little Nan Throw,' made out of 100% Belgian linen and a unisex Indian cotton Mojave robe that boasts a wonderfully geometric motif of deep desert colors. The pieces are made in conjunction with Atelier Ace and select items are block printed by hand with natural dyes in Bagru.
