The New York-based design studio PELLE unveiled its Louise collection, comprised of minimalist-style cabinets and sideboards. The collection is described as "a study in simultaneity," as it surrounds the concept of lights and shadows. The offerings boast perforated details all throughout to adhere to the exploration of both light and shade. The pieces are constructed with blackened metal with a brass finish.
The Louise collection was inspired by the Cell sculptures by Louise Bourgeois, designed so that the contents of the unit can be seen even while closed. The doors hinged on the cabinets and the sideboards have solid brass handles to add contrasting details. The foundation of each piece has a metal plinth that doubles as a display shelf and the front legs combine black steel, raw steel and brass.
