The L’Oréal Cell BioPrint has been unveiled by the brand at CES 2025 as a personalized skin analysis tool that will provide consumers with a way to pinpoint the best skincare solutions for their particular needs.
The compact device works by performing a noninvasive test that incorporates a facial tape strip on the cheek before placing it into a buffer solution, loaded into the unit and having the sample analyzed. The unit will analyze as the Skin Connect device takes images of the user's face and has participants answer questions regarding their skincare concerns and aging.
Deputy CEO in Charge of Research, Innovation and Technology Barbara Lavernos spoke on the L’Oréal Cell BioPrint saying, "With skin being the largest organ, and a key part of people's wellbeing, we are thrilled to unveil Cell BioPrint, an exclusive microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology coupled with our century-long skin science leadership. With the Cell BioPrint device, we offer people the ability to discover deeper insights about their skin through specific biomarkers and to proactively address the beauty and longevity of their skin.”
