Real estate listing app Trulia will now show LGBT protections info along with every property listing. The new features, dubbed Local Legal Protections, is set to outline all of the nondiscrimination laws in effect in the property's surrounding area. The data for this feature comes from the nonprofit Movement Advancement Project. This feature was first explored during and internal hackathon at the company, and was quickly put into full development after the debut.

Currently, there are no laws that protect LGBT people from housing or employment discrimination, so municipal laws tend to govern these issues.
