La Leche League is perfect for new mothers looking for information and support surrounding breastfeeding. The platform began with seven mothers looking to provide breastfeeding help and has since grown to offers 24-hour support through its Breastfeeding Helpline. In addition, La Leche League proves a safe place for mothers to ask questions, receive on-hand assistance, and of course, get mom-to-mom support.
The La Leche League platform currently has its in-person meetings suspended due to COVID-19 but still offers online support services and digital resources for mothers seeking support. The platform is a non–sectarian, not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization that aims " to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother."
