Italian designer Gaetano Pesce presented his last collection of furniture dubbed La Famiglia earlier this year before he passed away. It was presented by Salon 94 Design, a New York gallery at Design Miami's Paris edition. The range is comprised of stiffened felt chairs -- there are four in total to accommodate those of all ages.
He named these chairs, "La Mamma (the Mother), La Cugina (the Cousin), Il Bambino (the Child), and La Piccola (the Little One)." All of these are made from industrial felt and use a technique that Pesce created in 1987. This process starts with soaking the fabric in a clear resin material before it can be shaped and molded as the resin sets in to become self-supportive.
