The Just Two of Us art installation centers around massive multi-colored sculptures that contrast nicely with the greenery that surrounds it. Built for Brooklyn Park's MetroTech Commons plaza in New York, the sculptures look like the wreckage of a fallen rainbow, if such a thing was as stable as the Rainbow Road in the Thor myths. Second to that, the Just Two of Us installation looks like broken concrete pillars that have been vibrantly vandalized.
In reality, the Just Two of Us installation was created out of glass-fiber reinforced plastic and painted with acrylics. The work of German artist Katharina Grosse, who is known for her colorful crystalline sculptures, is not only stunning to look at, but fun to interact with as well. Children will surely be found climbing it from all corners.
