Psychedelic illustrations and animal portraits aren’t new things in the art community, but Jeremy Dower may just be the first person to fuse those two things together for some trippy and stimulating visuals. The talented artist made these images for the ‘Canis Mortuus Familiaris’ exhibit, which features “phantasmagorical pooches” as their theme. Through an eclectic array of techniques, Dower morphs fluffy canines into things you’d see while severely intoxicated. Most notable of all is the fur Dower renders, which is hard to distinguish from smoke. Couple that with a 3D lens-like filter found in these portraits and viewers can’t help but feel inebriated just staring at these works.
