Woolrich Taps Jeff Griffin's Expertise For a FW19 Collection
Heritage outdoor label Woolrich works in collaboration with Jeff Griffin on a new collection specifically catered for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. The brand joins Griffin's Griffin Studio to create a series of sustainable designs for the colder seasons, made in a carbon-neutral environment that goes through a series of sustainable manufacturing processes.
The duo works with North Italian technical sportswear fabric creators Majocchi to develop clothing using a zero-water production method. In addition to this partnership, the two also draw in the help of Seaqual, which helps with recycling plastic that is collected from Spanish coasts. These materials are then transformed into 100% polyester, tackling the issues of marine plastic pollution. To ensure that the seasonal apparel are made with no pesticides and harsh chemicals, the brands highlight organic cotton.
