This Jackson Hewitt Commercial Pokes Fun at Child Tax Benefits
Jonathon Brown — February 2, 2013 — Pop Culture
This Jackson Hewitt commercial is pitched as if it is a legitimately banned Super Bowl commercial, but in reality its a spoof ad created by a comedy YouTube channel.
JSnowPro created this slow motion tax return ad and released it recently to capitalize on the massive traffic driven by Super Bowl commercials near the end of every January.
The video features a young man running through a parking lot in slow motion. There's no indication of where he's running to, until the very end. On his way to the tax return store Jackson Hewitt, he dodges and ducks on comers trying to take his child from him. The ad finishes with "If you get the kid here first, you get to claim him."
This ad is poking fun at tax return season when suddenly otherwise burdensome kids become a tax asset.
