Toys R Us' Internet is Not Safe Ads Bring Awareness to Online Searches
Meghan Young — March 5, 2015 — Life-Stages
The fact that there are groups of people who's sole job is to scour the web for disturbing and inhumane content should be reason enough for Toys R Us to create a series of 'Internet is Not Safe' print ads. This PSA is not only helpful to parents, but clever as well. By encouraging parents to keep children off the Internet, or at least create more controls, Toys R Us creates a campaign for more traditional play.
The Internet is Not Safe print ads revolve around common and seemingly innocent searches that result in seedy finds. Of course, they put a fun twist on it by showing Barbie cleaning blood off the floor, Ken chained to a bed and Buzz Lightyear popping pills. Parents will appreciate the humor.
