Comcast is increasing speeds for lower-income internet users, which are members of the company's Internet Essentials program. The program provides a connection to lower-income individuals for a price of 9.95 each month. The company will be increasing speeds from 15/2 Mbps to a total of 25/3 Mbps, and it also indicated it will keep these levels going forward.
Comcast is also allowing qualifying individuals to sign up for its Internet Essentials program for 60 days with no associated costs.
