OFF-WHITE's Virgil Abloh has partnered with designer Ben Kelley to explore disco culture, the nightclub scene and the history of music in a new interactive club installation titled 'Ruin."
The installation is housed in London's Store studios and invites the public to explore a unique collection of lights, objects and ornaments which were taken from abandoned or unkempt night clubs. "Ruin," aims to serve as a space where guests can understand the function and importance of music on a collective and individual scale, through immersing themselves in a quiet physical space that's void of traditional club motifs and noise. This vibrant interior combines Kelly's nightclub experience, with Abloh's passion for architectural design, to offer guests an interesting revival of musical history, through the lens of design.
