Instacart Unveils a New AI-Powered Shopping Cart Partnership with Aldi

Instacart and Aldi South Group are set to broaden their global partnership. As part of this expansion, Instacart will deploy its Connected Stores technologies across Aldi’s US locations. This implementation includes Instacart’s In-Store mode, Carrot Tags, and advanced fulfillment technology to enhance e-commerce operations.

In a notable development for Europe, Aldi South Group is introducing Caper Carts in Austria. These AI-powered smart carts, developed by Instacart, are designed to streamline the checkout process and offer a more personalized shopping experience. This marks the first time Caper Carts are being tested in the European market.

“Retailers like Aldi South Group value our omnichannel solutions, which help them provide even more personalised and convenient shopping experiences for their customers,” says David McIntosh, VP and GM of Connected Stores at Instacart.
