A group of researchers over at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne have invented high-tech infection-fighting bandages that are capable of improving and accelerating the healing process.
Bandages can often act as unintended fertile grounds for dangerous microbes which can hold back healing and even have dangerous after-effects. This infection-fighting bandage is treated with animal collagen and progenitor cells, which contain special growth factor materials to help wounds heal faster and fight back against dangerous microbes. The bandages are further infused with special molecules called dendrimers, which have long been proven effective at killing bacteria, making them a great addition to the bandage's arsenal.
