IMA ILAPAK has announced the launch of its new Delta WW OF-HSX flow wrapper, which requires 37% less power than a conventional wrapping machine. The new system is set to revolutionize factory-led package wrapping by offering a much more sustainable alternative to commonly used machines.
Instead of using gas-powered engines for pressing, gusseting, and cutting, the Delta WW OF-HSX uses electric motors. Because of this, the machine has eliminated the amount of energy needed for air usage by 95%.
“From conversations with our customers, it is clear that rising costs are their number one concern. All manufacturing sectors are facing crippling input costs and pressure to reduce their environmental footprint. Our new all-electric flow wrapper responds directly to both of these challenges," said Tony McDonald, sales and marketing director at ILAPAK UK.
