Standing out distinctly from its surroundings, the Icone Installation by LIKEarchitects is a modular structure that is meant to be interacted with.
The traffic cones which make up this bright orange sculpture, are originally used as a way to keep cars and people away from certain areas on the road. However, when taken out of context and placed as an artistic construction in a public park, the traffic cones are actually encouraging people to participate. Red LED lights are built into the structure, making it light up at night and increasing the contrast between the green landscape and its warm orange glow. Substantial in size, the sculpture is made up of 500 traffic cones.
