Barber and Osgerby Joins Signals on a Special Light Collection
Signals works together with London-based duo Barber and Osgerby on a special cone-shaped light design that highlights their admiration of Venetian glassblowing techniques. The limited-edition series is full of colorful cones that are made from Murano glass to create a graphic aesthetic.
The capsule is made up of totemic floor lamps, playful wall lights, and geometric pendant lamps. Each one is made from light Venini glass cones that are crafted into aluminum box sections. This creates a look that the lamps resemble speakers or megaphones. Barber speaks about the new collection to Dezeen, stating that "The cone is a recurring form for us, I think because it's such a pleasing form [...] It's so pure and it does evoke a function."
