Munich-based HYVE Innovation Design has managed to create a skeletal skating deck using organic matter such as leaves and insect wings. These boards have a special lattice design for increased flexibility. This means the board provides riders with a truly unique ride which is unlike anything a regular old wood longboard deck would ever be able to offer.
Moreover, the exact grid pattern of the board -- which won a Silver Award at the Materialica materials fair in Munich last year -- can be completely customized in order to gain a more custom look.
HYVE is currently running an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for production of this unique deck. This lattice-design deck will appeal to skaters looking to shake things up on their ride while looking different from other skaters and long-boarders out there.
