The Hurawalhi Island Resort and Spa, a luxury resort located in the Lhaviyani Atoll region of Maldives, is set to play host to the world's largest underwater restaurant.
Located 5.8 meters below the surface of the water, the restaurant is constructed out of a steel base and has an acrylic dome. Currently under construction, this underwater restaurant will offer views both across and under the gorgeous Indian Ocean. Some of the marine life that up to 24 diners will be able to admire will include sharks, stingrays, numerous fish species as well as corals.
Interestingly, the restaurant was actually constructed in New Zealand and is being transported to Maldives over a period of 12 months.
The Maldives is already known as one of the most idyllic luxury destinations in the world, a reputation that is set to be enhanced thanks to the addition of this luxurious underwater restaurant.
