Huawei's HarmonyOS was recently officially announced at the Huawei Developer Conference by the company's CEO Richard Yu. The new operating system will be an alternative option for users, which is said to be faster and more secure than the operating system Huawei was previously running. The new operating system has reportedly been in development since 2017, and it will be the first smart display product from the company.
Huawei's HarmonyOS is also open source and can be used on multiple devices simultaneously. The new operating system will be lightweight, however, it will also increase performance in some areas. One of which will be because of a 'Deterministic Latency Engine,' which will better allocate resources using live data.
