Australian company Homescreen Media has come up with an innovative technology, dubbed the Hovervault, that is designed to increase hoverboard safety.
The contraption essentially consists of a bag that is designed to be fire-resistant. Made out of special fiberglass composite materials, the Hovervault aims to contain fires that may occur in the event of an exploding hoverboard battery. This enables it to help prevent bodily harm and property damaged caused by battery fires that can occur when hoverboards are being used, transported, charged up or even stored. These explosions often occur because of the use of low-quality lithium-ion batteries that aren't always the most stable.
