Architecture house Horomystudio has embraced the natural terrain in its latest design. Located in a Russian forest, the home sits atop a hilly terrain and evokes an almost tree-house-like aesthetic.
The home is nestled between rich foliage and is divided into two stories. The first floor was designed to appear like an extension of the hill it sits on and includes the garage and storage rooms. The second story is the main living space and features picturesque views throughout. The home was built favoring local materials. The exterior is coated with a unique black stone that comes from the Karelia region. While natural oak was chosen for the interior, which softens the space and creates a rustic aesthetic. The shutters delicately slide and feature a traditional Russian saw cut carving.
