21st Amendment Brewery has been one of the most venerated and beloved brewpubs in San Francisco since the turn of the millennium, and the brewery is clearly looking to strengthen that reputation with the launch of an unabashedly hoppy pilsner that is dubbed 'Coaster Pils.'
This particular beer comes in at 5.4 percent ABV, and makes use of dry-hopped Coaster Pils in conjunction with Mosaic and Simcoe hops, which are known to convey notes of passionfruit, apricot and citrus to the beer. "All those elements are brought forth with the German lager yeast we use with its floral and fruity aromas and clean flavors," noted Shaun O'Sullivan, co-founder and brewmaster at 21st Amendment Brewery, in a press release.
The end result is a delectably hoppy pilsner that pairs perfectly with hot summer days, with its crisp and refreshing texture making it a wonderfully satisfying beverage.
