Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is investing in small, diverse businesses by hosting its first Supplier Diversity Conference & Expo at the brand's dedicated hotel. With over 700 participants spanning 300 organizations, this event puts inclusivity at the forefront by highlighting businesses from women, ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ communities. With this event, HKDL aims to expand its supplier diversity efforts to help overlooked small businesses thrive and expose them to new audiences.
“Wherever possible, we strive to include a diverse supplier in our requests for proposal projects to give them a fair and equal opportunity to earn business. This becomes easier as the pool of qualified diverse suppliers grows," said Lesz Banham, chief financial officer of HKDL.
