Augmented Reality Holographic Technology (ARHT) recently acquired the rights to deceased rapper Notorious B.I.G.'s likeness and subsequently announced that it will bring back the star as a hologram. As a result, fans may soon be able to see the rapper on stage 20 years after his death.
ARHT has already begun using holographic technology to insert the rapper into a music video for Faith Evan's upcoming single titled 'The King & I.' Following this release, the company plans to take the rapper on tour as a holographic image. This is done by using transmission technology to create digital humans that can be scaled up to any size venue. The company calls these human holograms 'Humagrams' and claims they can be displayed nearly anywhere.
While the company explains that it will need to clear everything with the rapper's family first, fans could soon be seeing Notorious B.I.G. live in a whole new way.
