In order to bring some fun and festivity to shopping this year at Ocean State Job Lot, the department store introduced the epic Holiday Adventure Quest. The elaborate prank was staged so that consumers checking out at the cash register had the chance to ring a bell in order to embark on a quest to win a heater. After being greeted by a wintry wizard, shoppers were taken through the aisles of the store to fight off the villainous The Evil Markup King by crawling under Christmas lights, slingshotting snowballs at enemies and ultimately rescuing the kidnapped Santa Claus.
